The storyline

Come From Away is the brainchild of Irene Sankoff and David Hein, the husband-and-wife duo behind the book that led to the musical adaptation and production score. As part of their research, the writers visited Gander on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 to meet with locals and even some "plane people" who had returned to rekindle the friendships formed during those tense days.
