What is the age limit for events at the CIBC Theatre?
It is encouraged that children 5 and above attend the events as a courtesy to other guests, and that children under 2 do not attend. This suggestion may change depending on the content of the show. Your purchase will contain any particular age restrictions.
Prior to purchasing, it is recommended that parents should make an individual decision about the content of each show. All attendees, regardless of age, must have a ticket; children must be accompanied by an adult; and disruptive behavior will result in ejection from the theatre.
Are there food and drinks allowed in the CIBC Theatre?

Are bags permitted inside the CIBC Theatre?
Yes, but do not bring anything that will not fit comfortably under your seats. As guidance, bags which are 10”x10” in size may be subject to an inspection before entering the venue. To avoid delays when entering, it is recommended not to bring large bags.
Are mobile phones permitted in the theatre?
Yes, provided that you switch them off prior to the show. Similar devices such as beepers and smart watches are also allowed inside the venue but they need to be switched off to avoid loud sounds that may disrupt other patrons.
What if I arrive late for a show?
All productions shall begin promptly at the hour specified on your ticket. Any guest who arrives late or exits the theater during the performance will be seated at Management’s discretion. Broadway In Chicago maintains the right to reject admittance or remove any individual whose behavior is judged unruly or who fails to comply with these or other Broadway In Chicago standards, without refunding any amount of the ticket purchase price.
What are the provisions for hearing impaired patrons?
Patrons may obtain free assisted listening devices from the House Manager, granted that it must be accompanied by a driver’s license. Call (312) 977-1700 for the schedule of performances that will be interpreted for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
